The community field in San Mateo is the primary gathering space for 80 children and youth, but it is not safe or usable after dark.

There is:

• No lighting

• No covered space

• Limited infrastructure

Because of this:

• The field is not usable in the evenings

• The area becomes unsafe at night

• Families avoid the space after dark

• Youth lose consistent access to structured activity
